Korean Music: Not Just K-Pop! [Top 10]

Image
Hey-hey, I hope you're all having a good day! It's a pretty chill Monday for me. Big thank you to whoever chose the music station at work today 😊 Speaking of music... It took me a year after I started watching Korean dramas to get into Korean music. Crazy right? I didn't particularly care for a lot of the popular K-pop songs but I realized I loved some of the music I would hear in K-dramas and began exploring from there! So today I'm giving you my top ten favorite Korean songs! A/N: While I am learning Korean I have no idea what half of the words in these songs are, so if any are super horrible - sorry!   P.S. You can find all of these songs here ! #1 Hello by Sunbee #2 Natural by We Are The Night   #3 넌 이별 난 아직 by Standing Egg #4 Star, Fire, Night by We Are The Night  #5 AMEN by Damiano #6 Don't Re

First Impressions: The Bride of the Water God (Habaek)

The first two episodes of The Bride of Habaek have aired and I'm left with mixed feeling. I haven't watched a lot of fantasy dramas before and for a long time even strayed away from historical dramas. (Scarlet Heart: Ryeo and Goblin corrected that real quick.) I understand that in the beginning of most dramas they have to give you backstory and establish the story line, especially with fantasy dramas. Right now though, The Bride of Habaek feels like it can go either way. There were really good moments of humor involved and judging by the snippets shown at the end that preview what's to come, something big is planned. That's all that I've got to go on so far though. They leave you on a cliff and hope you don't jump. I want to love it all because I enjoyed Nam Joo-hyuk's acting is Scarlet Heart: Reyo. I'm just not sure with this one. There are only two episodes out though, so I definitely want to give it more time to see where the story line

Monthly Drama Pick - July 2017

There are two dramas that I'm really digging this month! Suspense and action packed Lookout and mystery-romance Suspicious Partner. Lookout Lookout quickly became one of my favorites a few weeks ago. So much so that I actually memorized the day's new episodes air on Drama Fever. I rarely do that, but this one got me HOOKED.   It's refreshingly light on romance (there is almost none so far) and excitingly heavy on action and suspense. I also love that it's an action drama that mainly focuses on a female lead. The show centers around Jo Soo Ji, a detective who's daughter has been murdered and her case buried. Distraught with the knowledge that her daughter's killer is free, Soo Ji tries to take matters into her own hands.  The Boss intervenes and Soo Ji is taken into hiding and put to work with the promise that her daughter will have justice soon.  Now teamed up with  Gong Kyung Soo, a cyber nerd with hair right out of the 90's that i
